The Star Wars app turns your mobile device into your very own Star Wars companion — featuring breaking news, VR and AR experiences, a Star Wars weather app and of course a countdown to the release of The Force Awakens and beyond. You can also practice your lightsaber skills and take a selfie with princess Leia. In other words, a Star Wars fan's wet dream.
OUR PROCESS
During the design phase at North Kingdom, we immersed ourselves in the vast Star Wars universe to build the ultimate Star Wars companion. It was important to define the experience and content strategy in a way that would not only excite fans, but keep them coming back.
It was important to create a visual language that stayed true to the franchise and fans, while at the same time forging a fresh design approach for what your personal droid could look like.
THE RESULT
The app was was released ahead of the Episode VII premiere, and fans all around the world declared it the app they’ve been waiting for all along.
